BMI really isn't super useful here.
On my 5'10" frame a 45 is 315 pounds and a 55 is 385. Having been both those weights the only notable differences were how easy stairs were and how long I could maintain max speed if I had to hustle.
BMI doesn't consider muscle mass or fitness levels. It wouldn't take long to find wrestlers or football players with no major mobility issues. Contrast that with those of us built like a bean bag chair who started waddling as they passed 200.
Build matters more when it comes to mobility.
